Hybrid – Bluebell
The BlueBell is a cross between a Maran, Barred Plymouth Rock and Rhode Island White. The colours are slate, dark or smoky grey, almost blue hence the name. They have a very placid nature, laying around 250 to 300 brown eggs a year depending on their conditions. Not a pure breed but with great character and looks and being an exceptional egg layer makes this a very versatile and popular hybrid.
Cost per Pullets (point of lay): £25
